GlowNotes Terms

1. What these terms cover

GlowNotes is an iPad app made by PARISHGLOW LLC of Santa Monica, California. These terms cover Parish Glow Connected, your imported content, and support. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to GlowNotes and, by its terms, to content, materials, services, and upgrades accessible from or purchased within the app. These terms add rules for Parish Glow Connected and imported content. If they conflict with Apple's Standard EULA, the Standard EULA controls unless applicable law requires otherwise.

2. Parish Glow Connected

Parish Glow Connected is an optional auto-renewing subscription titled “Parish Glow Connected.” It lasts one month and, in the United States, renews for US $4.99 per month, plus applicable taxes, unless canceled. The localized price Apple shows before purchase controls. The two demo charts are free to open, page, zoom, and annotate. Parish Glow Connected unlocks importing your own music. Practice Room is always Local and free. It never requires an account, entitlement, in-app purchase, or Parish Glow Connected subscription. You can restore an active purchase on another compatible iPad signed in to the same Apple Account.

3. Renewal and cancellation

Parish Glow Connected renews automatically each month until you cancel it. Apple may charge your Apple Account payment method up to 24 hours before the next subscription period begins. You can cancel at any time in your Apple Account's subscription settings. Cancellation stops a future renewal and does not remove access already paid for through the end of the current period.

4. Payment and refunds

Apple processes subscription payments and issues receipts. PARISHGLOW LLC does not directly process App Store refunds. You may request a refund from Apple, and Apple decides and processes eligibility under its policies and applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits refund or other consumer rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

5. What may change

We will provide the material Parish Glow Connected access marketed for each subscription period you have paid for. We may add or improve features during that period. We may change or remove features for later periods after notice under Section 9. Maintenance, security, legal requirements, and events outside our reasonable control may require temporary limits, but this does not reduce any right you have under Apple's policies or applicable law.

6. Imported charts and your permissions

GlowNotes does not claim ownership of music you import. It copies imported files into local app storage for your review. Importing a file does not transfer its copyright to you or to PARISHGLOW LLC. You may import, annotate, display, or project a chart only when you, or the parish or organization you serve, has every permission required for that use. Owning a copy does not itself grant every right to reproduce, adapt, distribute, publicly display, or publicly perform copyrighted content.

If you rely on a parish or organization's OneLicense, CCLI, or publisher permission, you confirm that it authorized the use, that the specific work, audience, and use fall within the permission, and that it will make every required report. A license may cover some works, audiences, and uses but not others. In particular, congregational reprint or projection permission may not cover material for a choir, cantor, accompanist, ensemble, or instrumentalist. GlowNotes does not sell, verify, track, or report those permissions.

The two demo charts are provided by PARISHGLOW LLC for use inside GlowNotes.

6A. Copyright notices

If you believe a demo chart or other material supplied by PARISHGLOW LLC infringes copyright, email [email protected] and identify the copyrighted work, the challenged material, your contact information, your good-faith basis for the complaint, and your authority to act. We will review complaints about material we supply.

6B. Age and organization use

You must be legally able to agree to these terms. If you are a minor or otherwise cannot legally agree where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these terms for you. If you use a parish or another organization's charts or licenses, you confirm that it authorized that use. These terms bind an organization only when a person with authority accepts them for that organization.

7. Support

Support is offered in English by email at [email protected], as we are able. The GlowNotes Support page describes current app behavior and support. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for GlowNotes.

7A. Warranty and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Parish Glow Connected and support are provided “as is” and “as available.” PARISHGLOW LLC disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, quiet enjoyment, and noninfringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PARISHGLOW LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of charts, annotations, data, profits, or use. PARISHGLOW LLC's total liability for claims under these terms will not exceed the greater of US $50 or the Parish Glow Connected fees you paid during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where applicable law forbids them.

8. Privacy

GlowNotes stores scanned originals and black-and-white reading copies in local app storage. It also stores subscription status and verification information locally, including product and transaction identifiers and applicable expiration or revocation information. GlowNotes uses Apple's StoreKit to look up subscription products, make purchases, and restore purchases. The GlowNotes Privacy Policy explains the app's current data practices.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future use or subscription periods. Before a material change takes effect, we will provide notice you can retain, state when the change starts, and explain how to cancel. A material change will not apply to a paid period already underway unless law requires it or you expressly accept it. We will ask you to accept material legal changes before they bind you. If you do not agree, cancel and stop using GlowNotes when your current paid period ends. The current version and effective date will remain available at https://parishglow.com/glownotes/terms/.
