What GlowNotes is
A music stand for parish musicians on iPad: open your charts, turn pages, annotate, keep set lists, and rehearse.
Getting charts in
Use Import inside GlowNotes, or open a PDF, MusicXML, or MXL file from the Files app and choose GlowNotes. Each file goes to Local Intake first so you can review it and pick where it belongs. In Local Intake, Scan recovers pending scan pages first; if there are none, it can open Apple's document scanner on supported iPads. Scanning your own music requires Parish Glow Connected. GlowNotes processes captured chart images on the device and stores the original image supplied by the scanner and a black-and-white reading copy in local app storage for review.
What is free, what needs a subscription
The two demo charts are free to open, page, zoom, and annotate. Importing your own music needs the Parish Glow Connected subscription (US $4.99 a month to start), bought through Apple. Practice Room is always Local and free. It never requires an account, entitlement, in-app purchase, or Parish Glow Connected subscription. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account's Subscriptions settings. To restore it on a new iPad, open Subscribe in GlowNotes and tap Restore, then sign in with the same Apple Account.
Offline
Imported charts are stored in the app's local library. If a chart does not appear after a restart, open it from your library again; if it is missing, re-import the file.
